Planning An Alumni Event?
We’d like to hear about it!
Send us your news:
Your Lincoln High School Alumni Association plans to reinstitute a proud Lincoln High School tradition: The Hall of Achievement.
If you would like to nominate a Lincoln graduate who has distinguished themselves in the community or in their career, or if you would like to nominate yourself, please contact us by printing, completing, and sending us the Nomination Form (pdf).
See the form for more instructions and information.
Dr. Saul Feinberg, teacher and mentor to thousands of students, made music listening the focus of his career, primarily at Philadelphia’s Abraham Lincoln High School.
He went on to become a nationally recognized authority for his highly original, creative approach by which the invisibility of classical music was transformed into his very accessible Blueprints for Musical Understanding.
What’s the connection between Dr. Feinberg and The Discovery Orchestra?
The Discovery Orchestra’s Artistic Director (ALHS Class of ‘65) George Marriner Maull’s life’s work has been inspired by Dr. Feinberg, his mentor for over 50 years! The Discovery Orchestra carries forward Dr. Feinberg’s educational legacy by “teaching listening skills that help you really connect with classical music” in guided live Discovery Concerts, public television shows, and online educational videos.

Mr. Brian Donahue of the Philadelphia Water Dept, sent us this info about a Lincoln alumnus:
“Every year, at the Philadelphia Flower Show, the Philadelphia Water Department has a display. The theme this year is “Articulture” – the connection between art and plants.
“For our exhibit, we will be featuring tall paintings by Tom Steigerwald, a graduate of Lincoln High School in 1964.
“Our display at the Flower Show is titled "The Art of Stormwater Management" and will feature at least three, wall-sized paintings of Tom Steigerwald.

First Annual “Lincoln Black & Gold Soccer Classic” ― Saturday, May 10
Through the combined efforts of Lincoln High School, the Alumni Association, and the Lincoln Alumni soccer group, we are organizing the First Annual Lincoln Black & Gold Soccer Classic ― a soccer exhibition game between the current Lincoln soccer teams (Varsity and JV) and the alumni soccer players.
Come out and cheer for your favorite player, past and present, and enjoy the day with friends and faculty.
When the events are over we will move the party to the Parish Pub (on Cottman Ave in Mayfair). From 4-7 pm the Pub will be offering beer and appetizers for $25.00, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Lincoln Soccer team.
If you're a former Lincoln soccer player and would like to display your skills, dust off the cleats and drop an email to the Alumni Association to give us an idea of participant numbers. We hope you will come out, enjoy a great soccer game and spend the day with old friends making new memories.
Save the date: Saturday, May 10.
